Newton-based Mobile Medical Diagnostic Services of Boston Wins SBA 2013 Massachusetts Micro-Enterprise Award

BOSTON – Mobile Medical Diagnostic Services (MMDS), of Newton, has been named the winner of the 2013 Massachusetts Micro-Enterprise award according to an announcement by Robert Nelson, Massachusetts SBA District Director.

The Micro-Enterprise award is presented annually to an outstanding business that has received SBA assistance and has a three-year track record and five or fewer employees. MMDS was judged on four basic criteria: growth in net worth, sales and number of employees over the last three years, response to adversity, contributions to the community, and demonstrated creativity and/or commitment to a social mission in hiring policy, buying local, etc. The health care company was nominated for this award by Middlesex Savings Bank Vice President Bruce Miccili.

MMDS was founded by R. Scott Grinley in 2006. The company provides diagnostic health care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to patients who may not otherwise be able to get to a hospital.  More »
